The HDHomerun is full of win! But keep in mind that it only does ATSC
and clear QCAM, it won't capture anything analog. If you have an old
VHS archive, you'll need another cheap analog capture device for
converting them. Anyway, HDHomerun has fully supported open standards
and provides open-source applications for its open APIs since it was
created. You can pull up its video streams on any computer on your
LAN (Linux, Windows, Mac, etc.) that you install VLC on without any
further configuration. Changing channels can be done via a command
line tool, GUI tool, or media center app. No device driver to worry
about. It just works. Quit searching and go buy one right now!
