Streaming Live Concert

First off, thanks everyone for the help.

Secondly I may have not been super clear, but audio is all we cared 
about. This is the solution that ended up working:

    - icecast2 (http://icecast.org/ ) on a server
    - butt (http://butt.sourceforge.net/ ) to stream from brother's laptop 
      (post-hw mixers) to said server.


It was also suggested to keep an eye on the following html5 streamer 
being made by the xiph folks:

http://schleef.org/2012/06/14/gstreamer-streaming-server-library/

which seems to do everything I cared about and more.
