We were one of the first neighborhoods to get Utopia. When I got the
fiber installed to my house my ISP footed the $100 installation fee
when I signed up for a one year contract. That was quite a few years
ago. I figured it would still be cheap now. I tried to get a friend
onto utopia about 6 months ago. It's now $1800 for them to drop a
line to your house and put in the UPS and access point. That's if it's
available in your neighborhood.
