voip over wifi via cell phone

I don't really know anything about this, but a while ago I got an email from
my VoIP provider, NetTalk, informing me that I can have unlimited cell phone
time using their smartphone app.

I haven't gotten around to trying it yet because I use a company phone that
has virtually unlimited time. Let me know how well (or bad) it works if you
do try it.
