Most "NAS" (Network-attached storage) devices are just appliances that have a
minimum level of intelligence to provide NFS, Samba, and/or Appletalk. In
other words, it's just a compact file server with little or no user management
or security.
My suggestion: Just build a server with lots of storage space and configure
Samba on it.
