I am a technical recruiter with Parallel HR in Salt Lake. We are currently
looking for a Senior Linux/Unix Systems Administrator with a strong
background in enterprise level environments. The position is with the LDS

***Senior UNIX / Linux Systems Administrator***
Work closely with architects in designing enterprise class solutions based
on the principles of redundancy, data integrity, security and
Integrate and implement server solutions and server components such as proxy
servers, web servers, application servers, core infrastructure services
(Proxy, DNS, SSH, SMTP, Sendmail, etc), and others.
Engineer solutions to meet customer requirements based on current and future

Coordinate and perform maintenance activities in a large environment
composed of a mix of different UNIX and Linux platforms and configurations.
Trouble-shooting hardware, software and network related problems.
Perform performance analysis and tuning for servers hosting large databases

Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related
Minimum of 8 years of progressive UNIX/Linux system administration
Experience with administration of AIX, Linux and Solaris a plus.
Excellent UNIX performance tuning and analysis skills.
Strong skills administering UNIX server systems utilizing SAN technologies.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VIO, ESX) a plus.
Six years experience in designing, implementing and supporting highly secure
Strong network skills with TCP/IP, RCP, routing, proxy servers, IP load
Extensive knowledge of web technologies, operating systems, computer
architectures and proven experience as a system administrator.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Capable of producing quality
Good customer relationship skills.
Innate understanding of the value of establishing and living efficient
Ability to adapt and learn new concepts and new software products.
Able to work under stress and handle multiple critical priorities.
