Company:

MyriadPharma has been the pharmaceutical division within Myriad Genetics for
the last decade or so.  Starting in July we will be a new, independent,
well-funded, spin-off pharmaceutical company (170+ employees) with a number
of exciting drugs in the testing pipeline to treat HIV and various cancers.



Position:

MyriadPharma is looking for a strong system administrator with strong
Unix/Linux skills.

The ideal candidate will have relevant work experience implementing and
administering Red Hat Enterprise and Sun Solaris systems.  Experience
supporting or administering Oracle, Sysbase, MySQL is a plus.  Experience
with VMware environments (ESX, Infrastructure, Virtual Center) is important.
Experience with Apache, Tomcat, misc. open source projects helpful.  SysAdmin
will also assist with administering Windows environment.





*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*

To be considered at the System Administrator level: 4-6 years of
progressively responsible related work in desktop and server systems or
equivalent, AND

At least 3 years of Unix/Linux server administration experience in a medium
to large enterprise, or equivalent.



A successful candidate will demonstrate

-General computing knowledge including networking
-Ability to utilize a high degree of creativity, analytical thinking and
initiative

-Strong oral and written English language skills including experience
creating written documentation for technical and non-technical audiences

-Demonstrated customer relations skills

-Ability to work independently while following documented processes and
procedures

-Ability to create new systems, processes, procedures and document them

-Ability to collaborate with other support personnel to create and document
new processes and procedures.



*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:*

Professional experience with the following

-FDA regulation and investigation, HIPPA and SOX compliance

-Technologies listed in “Responsibilities” section below

*RESPONSIBILITIES:*

-Performs design, implementation or migration, administration of hardware
and software systems may include, but are not limited to:



Servers – Red Hat Linux, Sun Solaris, Windows (2003, 2008) – Dell and Sun
hardware

Desktops and Laptops - Red Hat Linux, Sun Solaris, Apple, Windows (2000, XP,
Vista)

Network/Security Systems – firewall, routers, switches, load balancers, WAP,
http content filtering

Storage – NFS, CIFS, ISCSI (NetApp)

VMware Infrastructure

Backup/recovery systems

Monitoring systems

Ticketing systems



-Documents systems and processes

-Detects, diagnoses, reports, and resolves problems with listed systems

-Maintains user accounts

-Resolves user requests in timely manner

-Trains users and cross-trains IT staff individually and in groups as needed
