Not long ago, Nathan proclaimed...

The 675 supports CAP line coding which Qwest no longer sells. All DSL
circuits sold for the last, uhm, 5+ years have been configured DMT
line coding. The Cisco 678 can be flashed with firmware that will work with
CAP or DMT. The Cisco 677 is DMT only. 

For this reason, a Cisco 675 in these parts is usually good for one thing:
Injuring or killing annoying, unwanted rodents from across the room.
