Firefox Bookmark Update Indicator

Brian, thanks for the link to the plugin for Update Scanner.  It is very
close to what I am thinking of.  I'm thinking more of it being part of the
bookmarks sidebar and being able to associate a bookmark with a an RSS feed
to simplify the polling.

Dennis, thanks for the advice.  I am going to do some research today or
tomorrow into programming the plugins.  It sounds doable.  Thanks again,
