yeah, it does help to have a popular machine and Lenovo has done a good 
job with the IBM tradition...

I had a relatively easy time hacking wifi into some IBM t20's a few

I've seen hacks like this for the eee. It's nice to have a laptop that 
is cheap enough to experiment on.
