md multipath vs dm multipath

Does anybody have any experience with md multipath in comparison to 
device mapper multipath?

I know in general md is older (ostensibly more stable, etc.) than dm, 
but I didn't even know it did multipath until this week.

I'm using CentOS 5, and the RedHat docs talk about md, but the KB gives 
instructions for dm, so I'm not sure which one would be best for my 
redundant fiber channel connection to my newest storage box.
