Its a whole suite that manages your network infrastructure.

as for opensuse, you are probably see it because of the software  
management stuff.  If you were on  a Zenworks managed network then  
you could use Zen to push updates/control the updates.

And for the best part, its gone in 10.3    Woot!!!
