I just noticed that my blog entry only shows the memory info. Here
is some sample CPU output from an older box I have kicking around:
*-cpu
description: CPU
product: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2100+
vendor: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD]
physical id: 4
bus info: cpu at 0
version: 6.6.2
slot: Socket A
size: 1733MHz
capacity: 2500MHz
width: 32 bits
clock: 133MHz
capabilities: fpu fpu_exception wp vme de pse tsc msr pae
mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 mmx fxsr sse syscall
mmxext 3dnowext 3dnow up ts
*-cache:0
description: L1 cache
physical id: a
slot: Internal Cache
size: 128KB
capacity: 128KB
capabilities: synchronous internal write-back
*-cache:1
description: L2 cache
physical id: b
slot: External Cache
size: 256KB
capacity: 256KB
capabilities: synchronous external write-back
Compared with the output of cat /proc/cpuinfo on the same box:
processor : 0
vendor_id : AuthenticAMD
cpu family : 6
model : 6
model name : AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2100+
stepping : 2
cpu MHz : 1735.648
