Position Summary

Red Hat wants you to join the team that is delivering new on-line
applications for the global Red Hat community. Using your experience
with testing Java web based applications you will help the GIS
organization deliver the new set of customer portals and syndicated
services. The ideal candidate will have experience with both manual
and automated testing practices and tools, and be equally comfortable
researching functional design issues and issues in the code and
database.

You will be responsible for defining and implementing test harnesses,
applying them to both existing and new applications, and monitoring
code quality trends over time. You will work with business users to
document and clarify requirements, and with engineering managers to
ensure that the requirements are delivered on time to meet our
customers needs. You will document test results and assist in the
debugging and modification of applications. You will need to juggle
priorities across multiple "most important" projects and bring to bear
the good judgment you have developed during at least five years of
related experience. You will mentor junior team members, and help to
build a test driven release methodology for internal applications.
  	
Requirements
# 5 or more years experience creating automated test scripts for Java
based web applications.

# 5 or more years working with Oracle database back ends.

# Professional exposure to automated tested tools such as WinRunner,
Rational, or Canoo Web Test.

# Good written and oral communication skills are required.

# Ability to work as a member of a distributed team is required.

# Professional experience with Linux system administration,
performance testing, and configuration management is a plus.
