About the Opportunity:

We are looking for someone with extensive Linux, Solaris, and Windows
administration experience and some postmaster experience. This position will
be responsible for managing a live-site production environment with many
different services including Sendmail, Postfix, DNS, MySQL, Apache, LDAP,
and Strongmail.

Key Responsibilities/Performance Requirements: 

	Day-to-day web server administration 

	Installation and deployment of new systems (hardware and operating
systems) 

	System and log monitoring 

	Perl and shell scripting 

	Day-to-day commercial mail service administration consisting of
lsmtp for windows and Strongmail for Linux software.

	Ensure deliverability and reliability of commercial email.

	Daily maintenance 

	Management of load balancing 

	Calculating growth and budgeting for additional services 

	24x7 on call

	 

Required Skills:

	Server administration in a live site production environment.

	At least 3 year of experience with Linux (primarily RedHat), Solaris
experience, as well as some Windows server administration experience. 

	Experience with Perl and shell programming, C experience is a plus. 

	Should have working knowledge with Sendmail, Postfix, DNS, MySQL,
Apache, FTP, and basic network configuration. 

	Must have excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills. 

	Other additional skills that would be a plus include kernel
development and IRC management.

	Need to be self motivated and self managing
