SMTP + Hotmail strangeness ..

I am writing my own SMTP client, and for some strange reason, hotmail (msn)
accepts my message but never shows up in the inbox, or the bulk folder.
Everywhere else (gmail yahoo etc) takes it like it should and it shows up
perfectly.

What's strange, If I send mail from sendmail / exim from the same server, it
gets to hotmail okay.

Anybody have any idea if hotmail is expecting the headers or something in a
specific format?
