MythTV channel changer script

I have a MythTV that is working well on Comcast analog cable. I want
to get it working through the Comcast digital receiver box.

Got a DB9 cable and hooked it up. Set up the channelchange scripts.
Pressing up/down will now change channels on the Comcast box and the
tuner card stays on channel 3 - good.

The problem now is that when recording, the mythtv system thinks it's
recording channel 3. I figured it would know that when using the
channel change script, that it can not trust the channel that the
tuner is on since it is always 3.

Anyone run into this yet?
