I don't.  Somethings just won't work. It turns out that tomcat (embedded
inside jboss) uses a non-standard ";" delimiter to attach the
"JSESSIONID" variable to urls.  So if you use mod_proxy, any url with a
JSESSIONID thing attached to it will not work.  We recently ran into
this and had to resort back to using mod_jk.
