Peer-to-peer streaming

Months ago there was discussion about peer-to-peer streaming.  I know
Michael Halcrow and others were participating in this discussion.  I
don't remember much about what was talked about, but I did come across a
project on sourceforge that claims to implement peer-to-peer streaming
of audio and video.  It's at http://s2s.sourceforge.net/

I think this is a good idea, but I'm afraid the proliferation of NAT
gateways will put a significant damper on it.  Maybe in the ideal IPv6
world...
