I've looked at a few other programs but for my wife it's PAF or nothing.

You can get PAF to work in Linux? I thouhgt that wouldn't work. Are you
using WINE?
PAF is the only reason my wife still has a Windows box. I would love to put
Fedora on 
her machine.

I'm an italian LDS.
I installed PAF5 on my notebook with Suse 10.0 but I've no chance to
install The Scripture 1.1
There is some one who made it, even with other linux distributions?

Have you tried gramps?  It imports pretty well from paf.  I think they have
upgraded a lot since I last looked at it.  Don't know how it compares
overall.
