Lexmark Strangeness

Hello all,
I have a Lexmark Z611 that I got going with this tutorial.

After reboot however the thing stopped functioning.
After many hours of hair pulling and at least 4-5 retries, I finally
checked the cups error message log and found I had a permissions
problem on /dev/usb/lp0
So I sudo chmod 777 /dev/usb/lp0 and the next thing I know I could
print a test page.

Everytime I reboot if I want to print I have to keep doing this.
Anyone have any ideas?

Ubuntu Breezy is my distro.
