Start with the manpages (Paul pointed them out), then as for books I'd 
recommend O'Reilly's Intermediate Perl which covers a lot of this. Damians 
older manning press OO Perl is still pretty good, and his O'Reilly best 
practices is good, but will push inside-out objects pretty heavily.
