Which is why I started phpLDAPadmin 3 years ago. The latest version is
quite stable, and it never* segfaults:

   http://phpldapadmin.sourceforge.net/download.php

You may even be able to apt-get install it on Fedora Core 3.

* Although strangely enough, I was able to make Apache segfault by calling
certain PHP functions (ldap_explode_dn() comes to mind) during
development.
