Job Description: Doba requires a Director of Engineering to set the  
direction for and manage a growing team of web application/software  
engineers. The Director of Engineering will lead a team of software  
engineers in the software design, development, integration and test  
of enterprise web applications and internal tools. This position is  
also responsible for providing leadership, career development, hiring  
and support the training of new software engineers and junior  
managers. The Director of Engineering will also be responsible for  
identifying and allocating the necessary staff, tools, and support  
needs for successful execution of new technology projects and the  
support of existing proprietary software systems.  Additionally, this  
person will be key in maintaining the core engineering process and  
procedures.

ONLY CANDIDATES LOCAL TO UTAH WILL BE CONSIDERED. Candidates willing  
to relocate at their own expense may also be considered.

REQUIREMENTS:  Candidates must have strong technical knowledge and a  
solid background in software engineering; understanding good software  
design and using OO concepts in a web environment; relational  
database and Linux/Unix experience. The ideal candidate will have  
worked in a start up environment, as well as at least one mid-to- 
large company and has been a software engineering manager at more  
than one organization. Candidates must understand the complete  
software development life cycle and poses a firm understanding of the  
application of agile methodologies. This position requires a  
candidate with excellent leadership skills, well developed mentoring  
abilities, and tactical software engineering management skills.

Job Requirements:

.	8+ years in software engineering with at least
	5 years in management roles

.	Experience with software projects using: HTML-
	based interfaces, PHP, SQL,

.	Apache, E-mail services, XML, SOAP, EDI systems,
	payment systems, and custom APIs

.	Strong leadership skills and ability to lead a
	team in the architecture, design, development,
	implementation, and verification of software systems.

.	Experience in tactical project management: planning,
	scheduling, analysis and control measures, etc.

.	Excellent written and verbal communication skills
	along with the ability to interface with cross-
	departmental managers and peers.

.	Strong team building skills, both internal and
	external to the software engineering team.

.	BSCS or BSIS degree required; MS a plus
