I was just testing my ports at grc.com and found that I had port 538 open.
According to grc this was being used by a process called gdomap.
I did a killall gdomap and the port is now closed and the system still
But it still begs the question, what the heck is it, do I need it and
if not how the heck do I stop it from restarting at boot?
I am using the latest ubuntu.
