Kernel-level Developers: Solid experience in any of the following environments: Linux/MSWindows/OsX/FreeBSD/Solaris/Aix/Hpux). 5+ years of C/C++ development required. Embedded development experience would be helpful. Experience with storage devices and architectures a strong plus (NAS/SAN/iSCSI). Cross-platform development would be very helpful.

Linux Kernel Software Engineer 100-110K+
Overview:We are looking for a an experienced Linux Kernel Software Engineer to design, implement, document and maintain Linux kernel modules and drivers related to Solera Networks products. The ideal candidate will have a preference for playing an important role in a fast-paced, small business environment where individual employees take ownership.

Job Description & Responsibilities:
• Design, document and implement kernel modules and drivers.

• Design and implement file system and networking features.

Qualifications:
• BS Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3-5 years Linux kernel development experience
• Experience with Linux 2.6 kernel
• Experience designing, implementing and documenting Linux kernel
modules
• Experience implementing and maintaining Linux device drivers
• Experience with VFS and Linux file systems
• Experience with TCP/IP and associated networking protocols
• Experience with network packet analysis
• Experience with unit testing and working closely with QA
• Very strong troubleshooting skills
• Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
